Silver Springs Farm Logo

Surrounded by Attractions & Natural Beauty

Beautiful Silver Springs Farm is located only one mile from the quaint town of Banner Elk, North Carolina and is centrally located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
When you enter the town of Banner Elk on Highway 184, you'll be welcomed by a large bronze Bull Elk statue.  The statue is in remembrance of Joseph Banner who, in 1872, founded the town and shot the last remaining elk in the area to feed his family.

Banner Elk and the surrounding area offers four seasons of wonderful living at a higher level. Our high country elevation means that in spring there are acres of wildflowers and wildlife. Summers are comfortable with temps in the low 80s and cooler evenings, perfect for opening the windows and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Autumns are ablaze with color and winters glisten with awe inspiring snowfalls.

Banner Elk lies between several well known resorts and North Carolina golf courses including Linville Ridge, Grandfather Mountain, Diamond Creek, Hanging Rock, and Hound Ears. Avery County is also home to Sugar Mountain, Beech Mountain and Hawksnest Ski Resorts. In the spring and summer months, visit nearby Grandfather Mountain or take a drive on the scenic Blue Ridge Parkway. Directly across from the Silver Springs Farm community is the Elk River Club with its great golf course and private air strip.

Lees McRae College is less than a mile away. Food markets, upscale shopping, and excellent restaurants are nearby as well. Silver Springs Farm is only 15 miles from the city of Boone, NC and Appalachian State University. A scenic drive of approximately 50 miles will take you to Hickory, NC and it is just 90 miles to Asheville, NC. The Tri Cities, TN Airport, which offers complete air service, is just 40 miles away.
